Long

Composer and sound producer Ilya Truskovsky has spent almost two decades writing original scores and records that pair emotional weight with modern sound. Based in Los Angeles for the past ten years, he works where the orchestra and the synthesizer meet — and finishes the job himself, in the mix.

He is the lead sound engineer and mixer for composer Aaron Zigman, with whom he co-wrote the score for Possessions, and has contributed additional music to God Is a Bullet, Death in Paradise, Hooten & the Lady and You Me Her. As a lead composer he has scored more than a dozen features and series, among them DOWN, At the Canyon’s Mouth, Eating an Elephant, Brooklyn Love Stories and nine seasons of Balabol.

He co-produced and orchestrated Deep Symphonic (2020), the orchestral album by the Grammy-winning project Deep Forest, with founding member Éric Mouquet.

He wrote the music and lyrics of “Presque Perdu”, the original song in Andrey Zvyagintsev’s Minotaur — Grand Prix, Festival de Cannes 2026, released by MUBI.

Beyond composition he leads a small team of sound specialists in post-production, so a score arrives designed, produced and mixed as one piece. He also writes and releases electronic music as MAQ.
